Tom Thorson was born and raised in
Southern California. He has always felt
drawn to the ocean and spent many of
his years there waterskiing, surfing and
lifeguarding.
Tom's interest in photography was
encouraged by his father, Earl Thorson,
a crime photographer. He taught Tom
to use a camera on family vacations
when he was just a young boy.
Tom currently lives on Long Island and
can be seen photographing along its
beautiful shores. He is currently
working as a freelance marketing and
advertising consultant.
